The 5Ah model (74Wh) weighs 400g and charges in ~2.5 hours (2A charger) or ~1 hour (10A fast charger). The 10Ah model (148Wh) weighs 720g with double the capacity—ideal for all-day deep-drop fishing. Choose 5Ah for portability and quick charging; choose 10Ah for extended fishing sessions without recharging.

Yes. Both models share the same 14.4V rated voltage and connector type, so they're plug-and-play compatible with the same electric reel. You can switch between models based on your fishing trip duration.

No. Both 5Ah and 10Ah batteries can be charged with the same 2A standard charger or 10A fast charger. Charging times vary by capacity and charger type as shown in the Charging Times table above.

RANON batteries use two installation methods:
1. Direct connection: Connect the battery directly to your electric reel connector.
2. Velcro strap mounting: Secure the battery to your fishing rod using the included Velcro straps, then connect the power cord to the reel.

In both cases, align the electrode slots on the battery connector with the charger/reel plug, push until fully seated, and tighten the locknut. Never force the connection or rotate the battery during installation.

The locknut is the threaded ring on the battery connector. It must be tightened securely (using a torque wrench, not just by hand) to ensure a solid electrical connection. Loose connections increase electrical resistance and can cause overheating under reel load. Always use a torque wrench to prevent dangerous loose-connection failures.

Yes. RANON batteries are designed for boat deck use. You can place the battery on the deck next to your reel and connect it via the power cord. This reduces excessive wiring and keeps your setup streamlined.

The battery has a connector and electrode protection cover designed for marine environments. After each saltwater use, wipe down the connector and electrode cover with a dry cloth to remove salt residue. Store in a dry location (0°C–45°C). Never leave moisture near the connector area, as corrosion can damage the battery. Regular maintenance ensures long lifespan in marine conditions.

1. Align the battery connector electrode slots with the charger plug.
2. Insert the connector fully and tighten the locknut.
3. Plug the charger into an AC 100-220V wall outlet (50Hz-60Hz).
4. The charger's red light indicates charging; green light means fully charged.
5. Unplug the charger and disconnect the battery.
6. Fasten the electrode protection cover.

Temperature note: Charge in environments between 0°C–45°C for best results.

- Red light on: Battery is actively charging.
- Green light on: Battery is fully charged.
- Red light flashing: Abnormal charging condition—stop charging and contact RANON Battery support.

Charging time depends on capacity and charger type:
- 5Ah with 2A charger: ~2.5 hours
- 5Ah with 10A fast charger: ~1 hour
- 10Ah with 2A charger: ~5-6 hours
- 10Ah with 10A fast charger: ~2.5-3 hours

Note: Smart chargers may reduce current in the final charging phase, so actual time may vary slightly based on initial battery level.

Use only approved and authorized RANON chargers (YT-FRB-N5Ah or YT-FRB-N10Ah). Using third-party chargers may damage the battery or create safety hazards. Contact us if your charger is damaged or lost.

Not recommended. Disconnect the battery from the reel before charging to ensure safe operation and prevent electrical issues.

1. Dry the battery: After saltwater or humid-environment use, wipe the connector and electrode cover with a dry cloth.
2. Store in cool, dry place: Keep the battery at room temperature (0°C–45°C) and away from direct sunlight.
3. Fasten the electrode cover: Always cap the electrode cover to prevent debris and moisture exposure.
4. Check moisture: Before reusing, inspect for any signs of moisture or corrosion at the connector.

Like all lithium batteries, RANON batteries self-discharge slowly during storage. Check the battery's power light before use, and recharge if needed. Lithium-ion batteries maintain their charge better than lead-acid alternatives, making them ideal for seasonal fishing trips.

1. Rinse connector area: Gently wipe the battery connector and electrode cover with a dry cloth to remove salt residue.
2. Never submerge: Do not rinse the battery with fresh water or submerge it.
3. Air dry: Allow the battery to air dry completely before storing.
4. Inspect for corrosion: Look for white crusty buildup on connectors. If corrosion is severe, contact RANON Battery.
5. Store properly: Cap the electrode cover and store in a dry location.

RANON lithium batteries are designed for long-term use. Your battery comes with a 1-year limited replacement warranty. After 3 years, you're eligible for 35% off a new replacement until year 5. Proper maintenance—especially moisture management and avoiding loose connections—extends battery lifespan significantly.

The limited warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use:
- Year 1: Free replacement for defective batteries.
- Years 3–5: 35% discount on new replacement battery.
- Coverage requirement: Warranty applies only if you followed proper installation, charging, and maintenance per the manual.

Not covered: Shipping damage, loose terminal bolts, corroded hardware, improper installation, water damage, extreme heat/cold damage, physical breakage, or improper storage.

Common rejection reasons:
1. Loose locknut or terminal bolts: If bolts aren't properly tightened with a torque wrench, resistance builds heat and causes failure.
2. Water/corrosion damage: Improper storage in humid or saltwater environments without drying voids warranty.
3. Improper charging: Using non-authorized chargers or charging in extreme temperatures.
4. Physical damage: Dropping, collision, or disassembly attempts.
5. Failure to maintain: Not drying the battery after saltwater use or allowing salt buildup.

To protect your warranty, always: tighten bolts properly, dry after saltwater use, store in cool/dry conditions, and use authorized chargers only.

- Abnormal charging: If the charger shows a red flashing light, stop immediately and contact support.
- Store safely: Keep away from extreme heat, cold, or moisture.

A red flashing light indicates abnormal charging. Stop charging immediately:

2. Disconnect the battery from the charger.

Do not ignore this warning—abnormal charging can indicate a battery or charger malfunction that needs professional attention.

Lithium-ion batteries are regulated materials. Do not throw in regular trash.
1. Check local regulations: Battery recycling rules vary by country/region. Look up your local battery collection program.
2. Prepare the battery: Ensure the battery is fully discharged before disposal.
3. Cover terminals: Use electrical tape to cover all battery connection points to prevent short circuits during transport.
4. Use battery collection containers: Place the battery in an official battery collection container at a recycling center, retailer, or hazardous waste facility.
5. Keep receipt: Some programs require proof of proper disposal.
